Entrepreneurship and Operations Manager

Venture UWA is inviting applications from passionate, hands-on innovation professionals to join our team as Entrepreneurship and Operations Manager.

This role sits at the heart of Venture UWA, supporting the delivery and growth of innovation programs, events and student experiences that help UWA students build entrepreneurial skills and pathways into the future of work. The entrepreneurship and operations manager is both a program operator and community builder — working closely with students, industry, mentors and partners to strengthen UWA’s innovation ecosystem

As Entrepreneurship and Operations Manager, you will:

• Deliver high-quality innovation programs, workshops and events across campus

• Grow and steward Venture UWA’s student, mentor and industry community

• Act as an external ambassador for Venture UWA with partners and stakeholders

• Support students to navigate programs, mentoring and entrepreneurial pathways

• Maintain strong operational systems, documentation and reporting

• Contribute insights and monthly reporting to inform continuous improvement

• Operate a 2IC to the Associate Director

This role combines operational management, facilitation, student engagement with a strong emphasis on creating inclusive, professional and impactful student experiences and will suit a person with leadership experience.

• Are generally positive, passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship and the development of future ready skills

• Have lived experience with entrepreneurship (founder, failed, exited, or product development)

• Are confident facilitators and communicators who enjoy working with students

• Can manage multiple stakeholders, programs and priorities with care and attention to detail

• Are proactive, outcomes-focused and comfortable working autonomously and in teams

Familiarity with UWA is desirable, but not essential.
