About the event

Venture UWA is proud to lead UWA’s first hackathon with the Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce (AustCham India), Fund WA, and The University of Western Australia, with support from MEITY and the MEITY Startup Hub.

Why this matters:

  • A practical bridge between Australia and India’s innovation ecosystems

  • Real business challenges, tackled through design thinking and mentored sprints

  • A virtual, cross-border program culminating in a Shark Tank–style finale with government and industry leaders

We were honoured to help launch this at the Australia–India Business Summit in Delhi alongside Vice-Chancellor Professor Amit Chakma, Hon. Julian Hill MP (Assistant Minister for International Education), Professor Jennifer Howell, Dr. Panneerselvam (PS) Madanagopal (CEO, MeitY Startup Hub), Mr Gaven Standon (President, Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce), and High Commissioner Philip Green—with support from Nashid Chowdhury, Broderick Moncrieff, Viknash VM, MAICD, Vimala Srinivasan, and partners including Telstra.
