About the event
The JOONDALUP INNOVATION CHALLENGE (JIC) is Western Australia’s foremost collaborative Innovation Challenge, bringing together over 100 students from 6 educational institutions. Students work in multidisciplinary teams to solve real-world problems faced by Joondalup residents, students and businesses. Students develop key employability skills including communication, innovation, leadership, business agility and networking.
Students prepare for the future of work by developing the ability to make fast, strategic decisions and design innovative, tech-enabled solutions. Through live and virtual summits, mastermind sessions, and the creation of video pitches, participants strengthen their digital literacy, presentation skills, and confidence working with emerging technologies. The experience builds critical capabilities that are highly valued by employers across all industries.
JIC has been co-created by the City of Joondalup and brings together business mentors, startup incubators and TedX style keynote speakers.
The program will commence on 1st September 2025 and conclude on 11th September 2025.
